Hello, im new to the z world and loving it already!! just bought a 1990 2+2 manual na in gunmetal grey. 799xx ks....when it went in to sort out the misfire.....
the help i need is more what "new" injectors should be worth.
been quoted $150 single or $500 full set...
Is this reasonable? Would you recommend a full set while we are in there?
sorry if i have the wrong section....
    Any help much appreciated :)

Hi there. Yes $500 for a full set is more than reasonable. I would suggest replacing the lot rather than the one that is at fault. Do it right, or don't do it at all ;)

Depends on the cause of your misfire. It's most likely just the injector connectors, which are $8 each in the for sale by buisness section of the forum.

How have they diagnosed it needs new injectors?

the injector at fault is reading much higher resistance than it should so its that... if connectors are a problem they will be done as well... the worry is that the car was looked after so well (great interior and paint - everything works and feels like new, well almost...) but you take things off and look underneath and we are looking at some bits that have been replaced and some have been left....

Ahh ok, sounds like they have figured it out properly, I'd follow SIMs advice then. I think new injectors come with connectors??

Heaps of stuff to do while the injectors are being replaced, you'll need to take the plenum off to get to them so look up plenum pull in the tech section and search some older threads about them to find all the stuff you can do. Under plenum water line bypass is one of the main ones.

well just talked to them again.... connectors have been replaced whenever the one odd injector was put in  oh well its a big hit to the bank account after already having to pay $500 to transfer the rego (pensioner owner so pay the difference too...) and of course the car itself. but, when its back, i think, worth it :)

Yes I'm afraid the $500 for injectors is the cheap part.......you will probably pay another $1000 for labor to get the new ones installed.
