Speed alert chime

Hi All

I have noticed that my '89 NA has a speed alert chime at 105kph & I find it really annoying Just wondering can it be disabled at all

look in the tech section, its an easy job

 

tech section is your friend.

top left of the forum
search for it and all will be reveled.

 

yes it can.... but you have to travel 2000k's before you can..... jj thats what hubby did to me...pmsl

have a looksie in the tech section but its the green wire behind the steering wheel in the dash there on the left hand side if i remember, it can just be pulled out...

 

thanks guys should have checked tech section first. Have found the answer & will disable the bl$#^y thing first thing tomorrow morning

 

hi yes it can we bought a Jap import and it did the same thing as you say very annoying a auto electrician disabled it he said it is only a wire that needs disconnecting.

 

easy as pull out cluster wire on left hand back side of cluster,just unplug it

 

Just put in a noisy exhaust and a big stereo and you would never know it's there.

Took me months before I realized it hadn't been disabled in Silver.
