OK so me and zedboy have just completed a plennum pull and TTZ extractos install on my 300. two quick questions; Due to the new headers the 02 sensor on the passesnger side doesnt reach, so is it alright to run with just one 02 sensor connected? And also where can I get an extension? Search would take too long to find out, and we sorta need to know ASAP Mikey & Zedboy
Are they OEM or aftermarket O2's? If he has OEM, the factory bracket that holds the sensor plugs onto the side of the plenum, remove them to get more room. That's what I did with my NA and TTZ headers. Worked fine. You could dodge it up with a piece of wire to extend it for the time being. Failing that, see if you can undo the loom and get more length from the plugs that way. I seem to remember that the sensor cannot be lengthened, but Post-connector to ECu might be a better bet if you need more length.
This is more the point. You cannot cut the wire on the actual O2 sensor wire. If you need to extend anything, extend the section of wire from the wiring loom on the ECU side. (still not recommended). So try what Mitch said first and see if you can undo the bracket and stretch the loom over a bit more for length before cutting and extending anything.
