Okay so due to my heater core dying ive decided to replace it.
I currently have the dash out and have encountered a couple of issues i could use help with :)

    Issue 1:
There is an electrical connection that i can't find anything to plug into!

    Issue 2:
My car is automatic. When the brake goes in you are MEANT to able to take the car out of park. However this system on my car is stuffed. So for quite some time i have had to use the override switch instead. Seeing as i have the dash out and can see everything i thought id fix it but i cant see anything that needs fixing. Any idea how to do this?

Don't know about your plug as I ripped everything out. :p
As for your park problem, there's a solenoid near the base of the shifter under the centre console. This disengages when you apply the brake. Can just remove or replace it if you really need to.

    that plug...

is for the stepper motor on the heater box. There has to be a plug for it. If you dont connect it, your climate control will not work properly....

okay so i found the plug and am on my way to finsihing this time consuming job. I cant be bothered removing the solenoid as it feels its either replace or nothing (besides using the orveride switch has become habit and i see it as extra security lol)

I do have another question tho...
The two hoses going to the heater core. I was just wondering do these have any wire mesh inside? As i have spent toooo much money on my suspension a major service and now this i really don't wanna spend more. So i was wondering if these hoses dont have mesh can i just clean the inside really well and be done with it?

    hoses?

If you mean the rubber hoses in the engine bay, then you can just reuse the old ones if they are in good nick, although its probably preferable to buy new ones.

If you mean the hardpipes connected to the side of the core, they do not need to be replaced. However, you should replace the plastic tap on the side of the core as that can also leak. My last heatercore leak was actually the tap, not the heatercore. And guess what, you have to do all that work again to repair it. So if you didnt get a new tap with your new core, then I would pay the $130 for a new nissan tap and avoid having to rip the dash out again in the future.

    Cheers
