Keep in mind as well that 25th Anniversary cars are only valuable if they are kept in pristine STOCK condition!.......exactly as they were first sold!.......if you intend to do ANYTHING to it??.......the slightest mod!.............then immediately you devalue it! :(.........unless of course it can be easily returned to the original condition! ;)........ just food for thought!

Yep, I remember a while ago someone was selling one but he had the bodykit removed as he didn't like it :bash: Didn't get too much for it... Well normal price for a '95.

Apparently there were only 40 of these sold in Australia - who knows, there may only be 10 or 20 of them still on the road. Not to mention they were about the very last Z's sold brand new in Australia. Given what other quite decent Z's are selling for now, it'd have to be a pretty incredible example of one to sell for $25k but don't go giving it away! I'm considering buying a pretty damn nice NA ('91) 2+2 for $5k - needs only a weekend of intensive luvinup to look new again. If you get the shits and want to ditch it for under $10k - PM ME!!!!!!!!!

Well i checked out a 25th anniversary z today, was quite a nice z. Gonna get in touch with my mechanic and hopefully get him to check it over.

The only standout things wrong with it were second gear made a weird sound as soon as you went into it and it had a few minor paint issues on the front and rear bar.

Any idea on whats causing the grind-like sound in second? I assume its the gear box, but it might not be..?

Funny you say that, I've got an Anniversary model myself - the one you're looking at probably has the wrong oil in the gearbox. But sure sounds like a great issue to use to tear-the-poor-seller-down over - like everyone else does! What colour is it - I just saw 3 blue ones on carsales... why's everyone getting rid of them?

Can wrong oil in the box really cause that kinda problem? It only happens in second gear from what my Dad and I could tell.

Yeah it's a blue one, had some gutter rash that wasn't the nicest though :( (I believe you can fix gutter rash on wheels??)

I really do like the full stillen kit on them. I think that even if this Z doesn't work out that my future Z may look similar body-wise. :)

    Hey dude,

Just letting you know the guy today left a deposit so it's as good as sold.

Will let you know if it falls through and you're still interested

Arrr, not ta worry. They come and go... The more you look, the more you know you've found the right deal when you do find it! I missed a '92 Silver 4 seater TT manual on ebay - the owner had receipts for getting the engine rebuilt 6 mths before and the gear box rebuilt 3 mths before that, nice alloys & only needed maybe $500 in paint repairs - sold for $3400 on eBay as the guy was being transferred overseas with work. You'd think I was pretty shattered - well the next deal was even better!!! Seek and ye shall....

Hmm... It's just a shame I missed this one :(
The first Z I've seen that hasn't been rapped by a moron P-Plater who has no respect for their car.
But thanks for the encouraging words, shout out if you see anything worth mentioning :)
    Cheers, Dean.

The gear crunch is weak synchros on the older gearboxes...
