There's probably a bit more in it but I was happy enough to have a 5 at the start of the max figure. I've got a good working relationship with the owners of the business with the dyno so I was left to my own devices to have a good number of runs and play with the tune. It's really different tuning with Water/Meth when you are not used to it. I can now use this smiley with reference to the real thing :br:
Niiiiice.... This water/meth injection sounds interesting, how do you find it compares to conventional intercooling?
Less lag, no pressure drop and you can run a fair bit of ingition advance as well with the alcohol. Yep it's pretty cool (excuse the pun)
nice even curve.. mod list? that should be the template when posting dyno sheet, mod list must be in post lol
Wow!!! One of the cleanest power curves i've seen. ..and a nice steady AFR too. Congrats Karl! ...and you might also agree that the dyno that you used, which is the same as i used certainly aren't a "dyno queen" dyno either just to push some "high" figures out for customers. They're honest, accurate and straight down the line people. Glad you had a positive experience with them. I also recommend these guys at TAS Performance in Toowoomba, for any local people wanting Zed work and dyno's done. Congrats again Karl, gotta have a grin from ear to ear after seeing that figure! :zlove:
... top stuff, big K ..... ... amazing what results "country boys" can pull ... and now you are going to rule the nation a la Bob Kater et al ... lol... !!!
Love your work Karl....I put my car on dyno also on the weekend for the first time 456hp keen to get closer to 500hp also ...Tony
Thanks Bud. Your Z has always seemed to be a bit of a freak when it comes to power delivery, it's a strong engine you have there. See how we go in a few weeks when we put it on the rollers and give it a tweak Anyone on the Darling Downs (or anyone from the coast willing to make the drive out) I'll be offering a tuning service using TAS Perfromance Automotive's Dyno in Toowoomba. This service will specialise in stock ECU remap or NIStune. Send me a PM if interested.
If my bits get here and fitted to schedule, i'll hopefully be ready to go back on the rollers within a month. :br:
Strip... Sweet figure... I'm curious though...what time would 500rwhp give you on the quarter mile... Take that girl to the strip...and post up some times... Rob. :br:
LOL, all depends on the driver when you have a five speed and shifting gears quickly is not my forte:stupid:
Come on now...you can't have all that power at your disposal and not at least have a go... It would be like dating a girl with implants and telling her to keep her top on at ALL times... Cheers Rob.
Come on mate, where did I say I would not take it for blat down the quarter? Trouble is I live over 200KM from the nearest strip (Willowbank) so getting an opportunity is few and far between. What I was implying is not to expect an impressive ET due to my shifting skills
