from what i see looks pretty good man, need more pics to have final say though. whats the specs on the wheels

the zed is alot classier than other sports cars. its unique lines gives it that look. it was sold as the old mans prestige sports car.... every1 just tries to make it look tough. but im pretty sure u put a zed and a r32 gtr next to each other and im sure u can tell which is the classy one and which is the one that means business.

Thanks for the input guys! I have done HEAPS of research before deciding on what wheels to go for. I had set aside $4000 for a set, and wanted Volk TE37's but when i came across these, for the price, they couldn't be beaten. I specifically wanted the deep concave look, and these were just perfect. There is a bit of a bad vibe about these wheels, specifically from JDM purists, which i totally understand, however, ROTA has expanded and their quality has improved. Hardcore track cars run them, couple of heavy R35's in the states, and there have been no problems with Rota's newer wheels like these. They will never be as good as the real deal, they are only CAST and not FORGED, but for the street, i couldnt care less. And the left over cash i have has gone into my 350rwkw Goal saving fund.

I LOVE my old wheels bro, and it was a very sad goodbye session boxing them up for John (gargoyl), but the classy look i once had got a little boring, and after my respray, i wanted to complete the theme of Black/Red throughout the car.

Chad, thanks mate. More pics below, from an iphone though, but i will be getting some pro shots courtesy of the great Evan Embom (ZedEx).
Specs are 18x8.5 et30 all round. Running Dunlop Direzza Z1 street semis, 235/40/18 and 265/35/18. Being a semi slick tyre, they are wider than normal ones (was explained to me in the past but dunno why) and i am getting some scrubbing on compression at the rears. The guards are rolled, but the bit where the rear bar joins the wheel arch is not, and thats where the problem is. Unfortunately, i dont think running more camber will help because where it's scrubbing, doesn't get pulled in much with more camber, ill have to address the problem itself, and not dodge it..

Well anyway, some more piks, and as previously stated, sorry bout the phone piks....

Front grill will soon be getting colour... yep, you guessed it.... BLLLLLACK. Also looking for either black fog ducts, or going to tint them and the indicators.... dunno yet.

Also... the callipers will be sprayed red.

Thanks for lookin, hope you like, and those that dont, well... meh... I :zlove:

    lol yep.... cbf now though...

    Benny_C About as subtle as...

To fix this problem, you will need to get your angle grinder and grind some of that horisontal lip away, right up to where the first mount bolt is.

You're right that more camber won't fix that problem, you will need to grind it away for clearance. I had to do the exact same thing to eliminate my scrubbing, but that's one of the risks you take when going lower offsets than normal.

i think, with those rims, you will need a more aggressive look body kit! (not veilside or similar!)

looks so awesome dude, id say its almost complete, i was gonna suggest paint the grill black, but your already onto that

I reckon you should paint the intercooler and its piping black. so its just all black behind that grill.

Thanks Benny, its scrubbin ever so slightly, not even making a mark on the tyre, but as you know, the slightest scrub sound MASSIVE inside the car. My damper settings on the Super Streets are still on softest, might have a play with them first....

And by the way, id like to say a BIG THANKS to Benny for all his help while i chose my wheels. I sent him probably 10 PMs regarding offsets and size help, and he replied promptly with great info and advice. Im not saying to go and bombard him with a swamp of PM's (he's gonna hate me now) but MASSIVE Kudos to you friend. Thank you.

Look nice but i prefered the works myself, think its the colour putting me off as i obviously like the style :D

Just to clarify this though rota are still having quality issues. As i mentioned in the rota thread that was kicking round a month or 2 back one of the sau members was tracking his r35 with a set of the rota te37 knock offs & cracked clean through the spokes on both his front wheels. Just be sure to check yours out from time to time.

yep im sold, they look great man, much tougher stance and the offset is pretty tough :cool:

the front grill black will look alot better, with some black fog ducts, and tint the indicators legally darker. will look great man :zlove:

    Thanks Chad.

I do have a problem now though... My lug nuts are 21mm. These are too big for a standard socket, even a thin walled socket, just fits, bit still scratches the rim. I need 19mm nuts, and would like them in red. If not, ill have black..
Can anyone help? Been looking on ebay but not much luck...
