TUNING HELP NEEDED,or ANY Z OWNERS IN ROCKHAMPTON QLD?

    Some blue smoke might be normal during run in. But great clouds of it may suggest oil leaking past pistons and mixing with fuel and burning together...? But yeah like the other guys have mentioned.. I wouldn't be using an Ebay chip either. Try use a reputable chip.. or ECU.

    as far as i know they tune and work on a range of cars but i know of a few z's that have been tuned through there and know they can do custom chips and all that sort of thing, they are the only shop in town that can do the chips for commies and so forth and prices are good too.

    hahahaha does he tell you about how great his 'usa spec zed is too?' and how it's been converted from left hand drive :D he cracks me up sometimes.

    LOL ok although my knowledge is limited to non turbos when it comes to Zeds, so I'll probably be more trouble than help :eek: but still would be good to meet another local forum member. :zlove:

    Alot of hearsay sorta stuff going around, but parents also took their maxima there once (was a fair while ago) and they did some pretty dodgy work and overcharged ridiculously for it. Apart from that you hear stories of people who are generally not too impressed with them and most people I've talked to would also not reccomend them.

    Maybe if they're the only place that will do a tune on a falcodore in town, they would do plenty of them. But not for something like a Zed.

    Also cassia you're welcome to borrow my laptop and see if you can get nistune running on it. Pm me if you haven't been able to sort something out and your interested.

    Thanks for the offer Ryzan.I've been busy
    I bought the nistune daughter board & have had it dynoed now at dynamic mechanics.Still got a bad exhaust leak above the right turbo as i blew the side out of the gasket at 24lb boost.I replaced it but its still leaking & am now running back at 14 lb.Its pulling 365 h.p. & dyno guy reckons another 40 horse there if i fix the leak.Big job cause the engine will have to come to out to machine the manifold flat I suspect.Turbos aren't coming on until 105klm in top gear & then it loses traction so it ain't very user friendly but i'm driving it .P.s. your mate henry......Is his name harry & he is/was a taxi driver with a red zed?

    Insane if your coming on boost at 105 KMPH and losing traction (in what I assume is 4th gear)

    Mine has 440 RWHP and does this in 3rd gear at the same speed.
    4th gear doesn't get tail happy until .....KM (can't say it here )
    So Awesome power or shite tyres :)

    Its an auto but the lsd is totalled so i am hunting for a rebuild or replacement diff :mad:

    Haha Happy Harry the taxi driver yeah that would be him with the Veilside bodykit? Funny bloke :) Should meet up sometime, would be good to meet some more local owners. Maybe organise a cruise or something. Wouldn't mind seeing what sounds like a beast of a Zed you've got too haha.
