Anyone know where you can obtain the inverters for the Indiglow door sill lights. The inverter on mine doesn't want to play anymore.I've been to Jaycar/Dick Smith/leading Edge Electronics to no avail.Any suggestion?

    Cheers

I'd suggest asking member SPOOLE300ZX if he has any left, there was a group buy some time back.

My Sill inverter/panels gave up shortly after install, and I replaced both panels and used one inverter.

The inverter Scott supplied powers a single 12 inch panel, so I bought 2 sets, cut the panels in half, resealed the cut ends to prevent moisture ingress, installed, and it's been good for months now. One inverter powering 2 x 6 inch panels (equiv demand of 1 x 12 inch panel).

Also, I have a spare inverter which I will keep in case it shits itself.

    Here you go:

I just asked a friend of mine who does the conversions for all cars, hes got a couple top notch 12V inverters to fit the panel.
has a function switch on it (On, Off, Flash Mode)
    but their pricey,

    He wants $55 each,

i say make a group buy, find people who want spares, or a more solid quality Inverter than the one i got from SPOOLE300ZX if hes got none.

i should be able to get a sweet discount for yaz all.
quick too, he lives next door to me.

sort it out amongst urselfs, and ill get the ball rolling

Hey Scott im still waiting on the replacement inverter, whats the go ?

It wasnt until after i got urs i found out my neighbour had them,
He offered his version to me for $50

its a fair bit different than urs, has switches,. and its a much more sturdy design and is longer lasting.
    No disrespect,.
appreciate the job u did on mine, just a shame it came broke.
well iv got both, and i suppose you get what u pay for.

Thanks for the response guys, much appreciated. But I find it incomprehensible that when we acquire these sorts of products we have to virtually buy the hole product again when something on them fails.'Unbeleivable'.Is there anyone here who could/has a contact or some form of avenue to maybe track down a distributor/manufacturer of these types of inverters.I mean someone has to supply/manufacture them somewhere either Aust/China/Japan! Forum members who have this electronic component on their car hopefully will not have this problem, but in my experience it's not a matter of IF it's a matter of When it fails.Maybe see if 'Caz" or someone is willing to stock a few.Just a thought.

    Sorry for long post!

Hang on hang on! RED X is saying he can get them for $50 & cheaper if a group buy can be organised & SPOOLE300ZX says he can get them for $23:90.So what are we saying here fellas the same product as in quality= price?

The way I read that post is,

RED X can get an Inverter that has ON/OFF/FLASHING, for about $50,

SPOOL300ZX can get an INVERTER that has a DIMMER function for $23.90(obviously a different item).:confused::confused:
