Where can we learn how to do this. I see you have something that resembles a soldering iron, and a stick of plastic??
Conventional soldering iron, and thats the original plastic from the looks of it. Just a cut off section. Nothing too tricky, its like normal soldering, but with a worse off smell. Very Very good work from Zeo. Perfect work. :zlove:
very clean work there zeo i was considering doing this but only flat instead of angled. i dont like them sticking out too far from the panel but the work you have done looks great i did a custom double din facia on my last install and yeah that was annoying to do lol so great work drz400y do u have any more pics of urs. id like to see a side on view to see how far the gauges stick out on urs ??? thanx
Thanks Dink yes thats exactly what it is, a targa leak, definitely not an oil stain on my seats, unfortunately i did not put the car away in the garage before the rain had started.
anyone seen this one or used it before? look good http://www.conceptzperformance.com/...&Car_Type=300&UID=2009030417334069.209.70.209
You would need to find one that is made for a RHD car. These angle the gauges in the wrong direction. Someone (maybe Eric at A2Zed) was looking into getting some made, might be worth PM'ing him. Edit: Just realised this was the old thread.....
Ran into technicalities with getting them into production. They will be available but no time frame as yet.
Have you considered one of these? Much better location for gauges IMO. I've got one somewhere let me know if you're interested
Zedex did a good writeup on his install. http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=274809&highlight=guages+chad
