Nope. Auto and manual are both available, and the car I tested was a manual.

You get all the good stuff from the coupe too: Viscous LSD, SynchroRev Match, stability control, Akebono brakes, sat-nav, etc. It's virtually identical in specification to the coupe, except it doesn't have a roof and it weighs a little bit more.

As an added bonus, the Roadster has the 19-inch forged Rays wheels as standard. The coupe won't be getting them until next month.

Are you talking about the Z badge on the front fenders? They're the indicator lenses, and they light up orange. See below.

Yeah that's the one! Ah they're for indicator purposes.. thought
it was only for looks lol I'd like the "Z" badge on the front of a
Z32 to light up. I don't think anyone's done a DIY thing on it yet..
But I've seen a pic of it somewhere, will figure it out someday lol

It'd become a gay hair dresser JUST to have the roadster is that's what it took.

    Awesome car.

however, I checked down the back of the couch and while I did find a couple of coins, I couldn't seem to muster up $85K

Reguardless..... today is D-day....and this weekend....we go shopping :D

    on the revieww.....

I have never disagreed with a paragraph in all my life as much as I disagree with that one :p

But each to thier own :D :zlove:

Then again, as a reviewer I guess you get to throw it round a track, so the handling comment may be true. But to the average joe on the street, where MOST owners will drive the car, it handles way better than.....say.... a Z32

Rest of the review was WIKKID btw and the photos are excellent.

Soooo want one but soooo not gonna spend $85 on a "nissan"

Haha, yeah, I thought that par would rub a few people the wrong way ;)

Keep in mind, it's a comparative statement. The Z33 Roadster looked weird and handled badly compared to the Z33 coupe. It's an okay car in its own right, but it couldn't hold a candle to the hard top.

The Z34 Roadster is in a whole new league, anyway. The Porsche Boxster has long been the most dynamically-ideal convertible sportscar (it's stiff as a day-old corpse), but the 370Z Roadster is now right up there with it.

The Z33, on the other hand, flexed terribly.

I've flogged the Z34 very hard both here and in New Zealand, and I've got to say that the Roadster is definitely no hairdresser's car.

It's fairly luxurious too, and even if money were no object I'd take it over the Z4 sDrive35i and the Boxster any day. It's that good.

If only I had the money...

lol yeah I see your point totally.

If someone gave me the money (or the diference) I'd be buying the 370Z roadster in a heartbeat. BUt i dont feel bad having to settle for the 350Z roadster in it's place.

Not long now. Bank due to phone today :D

Take it from me. It retails for $75k which is a lot of money in anyone's language, but the amount of performance and quality that you get is astonishing.

Interior fit and finish is on a level that rivals the European manufacturers too.

An Evo X is cheaper and faster, yes, but driving one of those is nowhere near as enjoyable as punting a Z along a mountain road. The Z34 is well and truly a bargain-priced sportscar.

I know it probably doesn't count, but on the 370z website with the video's of each car, the roadster sounded a lot better. I guess part of that is that you are going to hear the exhaust a lot easier without a roof, but the reason I mention this is because the 370z hardtop had received some complaints about sounding nasty (nasty in a bad way). Perhaps the roadster addresses that..

I always only look at the ORC as numbers without that are meaningless. Sure we get raped by the government which isn't nissans fault, but it's still what it costs to "own" one.

Z34 Hard Top is currently ~$74K OTR and the Roadster is ~$85K OTR :(

on road costs are different for every state though ugame.....

and geuss what, australia has a nation has the highest stamp duty in the world, and WA has got the highest in australia, meaning to buy a new car in west australia is about as expensive as it can get lol!

ps ugame, really not looking forward to you going topless, im of the opinion you should KEEP THE SHIRT ON! lol
