dunno bout you, but i loved that tiatnium key. infact i remember giving one of my mates shit about him having some ghey bulky holden plastic key vs a titanium 300zx key. speshal aint it?
They're doing a Group Buy on TTZ on that titanium key. I'd love to have one.. http://www.ttzed.com/products/products_listing.cfm?cat=45&grouping=3&title=Key%20Blanks "Titanium Key Blank, Master (90-96 Z32) NIL STOCK this a GROUOP BUY ONLY OEM NISSAN Titanium uncut 300ZX master key, these will be made to order with a minimum quantity of 500 required. So if interested please put your name down, hopefully we can get the numbers to produce a run." -YakuzaMoon
lucky i got a titanium key with my car...probably the only good thing that came with it. when i sell it im definitely keeping it for souvenier also got a oem black key cut as spare.
ttzed is dead mate. even when it was operational i never managed to get anything from simon. the titanium key is discontinued and when he said group guy, you need a huge order to get another batch made. not many are willing to fork out $100 for only a key. most people with them got it free with the car.
Damn, no wonder I havent been getting my emails returned for ages. They should take down the site or something if they aren't doing business. Well thanks for the heads up! -YakuzaMoon
Got a titanium key with my Zed too. I would keep it safe and use the spare "Z32 Primary" as depicted in the image, but i prefer being able to look at it everytime i grab my keys, than have it locked away.
mine will i just bought one and will get it cut to the specs of my titanium key which opens the boot and glove box
dunno...must be some difference, since the red valet key has the length-way groove in a different place to the normal key. maybe it just can't operate the glovebox lock, which nobody really uses anyway ?
most key places could easily just cut the extra groove into the valet key to match the primary key though. not opening glovebox only makes sense though. you wouldn't want the valet guy to be able open the glovebox if you decide to lock something important inside. as for the boot, well it's not exactly hard to access if you're in the car and have the boot release right next to you so valet key probably will and is supposed to open the hatch.
Yep. I bought a primary and valet key blank for my Zed when I bought it, as the onwer had some dodgy copy of a copy of a copy. The valet opens the boot, but doesn't open the glove box. I'd love a titanium key, but the last time I saw it on Yahoo auctions, the price tag had three zeros in it...
Question. With my zed i was only supplied the Valet key. Would the Regular key have had the same cut as the Valet key? Only difference being the grooves over the length of the key. Or is the Valet key cut differently to that of the Regular. Keeping it a special 'Valet' key only.
How many people's titanium keys are twisted here? Mines got a twist in it from use, I guess. So does my second key
Im a bit confused with the price on that key. Is it $100 for one key? or is it $100 for 500 of them? **** paying $100 for a key.
Nope, that's $100 each. Keep in mind it has to be specially re-forged with titanium, it kinda does justify the cost.
