So i bought a 90 NA T top auto zed off a dodgy dealer a while ago. Have spent quite a bit fixing it up, but there is still alot more. There's a little switch to turn on the fog lights, and a little green light when you do, but no extra light comes on. Any thoughts on where the problem could be?
Is it a separate litle switch-button with 2 LED's? Mine had one installed for 2 foglights in the main air intake on the bumper. Looked horrible so I canned them and pulled all the wiring out .
Probably for the rear high intensity fog lamp. More usefull than the front fog lamp which do nothing other than annoy everyone. Cheers, Dave.
thanks for the replies it's just a little button on the right set of controls. nothing at the back changes either, this has us stumped
Does it have fog lights either side of the number plate? If it does then it's an Aus Spec car and the switch will be for just the right side lamp at the rear. The left side one is a dummy reflector. If it doesn't have these on the rear bumper then it's for the front factory fog lamps. Pull the lamps out and check for blown globes. Cheers, Dave. Edit, does it look like this..
Mine has that switch too, and another toggle switch on LHS of dash, both have factory looking wiring and i have no idea what thy're for- '89 Jap spec.
Thanks! :zlove: Well you have only one choice now and that's the front fog lamps. Undo the 2 screws that holds them on and check the globes. If they're ok check for any blown fuses. You know there are several fuse panels around the car, just to be difficult! Hehe :bash: Cheers, Dave.
yours is jap spec. they would of been removed when they came into the country when they where going through compliance. i hear you can put them back in with very little difficulty. only very few cars went through compliance and kept the fogs.
