Can anybody decode this vin for me.

It's a Australian green colour import vin plate. Low volume - what ever that means. Sorry don't have a picture and no access to the car at the moment.

    My car is a 1999 Nissan 300zx 2+2 TT grey KH2

What are you looking for, just confirmation on the factory specs or something else?

The green Aus vins were assigned on import and don't necessarily match the Japanese vin. If you post the original vin it can be run through FAST to confirm factory specs.

The VIN off your green plate was allocated at compliance time and in this case tells you nothing.

Your Nissan VIN will start off with GCZ32...

I'd love to know my original spec if someone is keen to look it up! I think I have a photo of the vin somewhere...

I'm having issues with NZ transport getting compliance. Recently moved back to NZ and brought the zed with me. Ive got the jap vin details and they have too, but at the moment nzta are not excepting it. They want a complete break down and decode of digits on the green au import plate, which I'm having trouble figuring out.

Yeah NZTA think otherwise, even though they have all the info from the Japanese VIN. Just being difficult I think.

Chuck your VIN into Fast... I used to run it on my Laptop with all the disk emulation stuff going on in the background but turns out there's an online version now https://nissan.epc-data.com/

Your best option then would be to email vimports@infrastructure.gov.au

    Accurate.

They have helped me out in the past too. And for a gov dept, were rather quick on the matter.

Well that is cool, wish it went into greater detail, but learned a bit about the old girl! Thanks!

OP, let us know how you go with getting the info, good luck :)
