    Hi Everyone,
I was in the area around the ECU and found some switches. One is on the side of, and going into, the ECU and is a 2 position toggle switch. The other is a 2 position toggle switch hanging loose, with on/off on it, next to the ECU. There is also a cable with a DIN plug attached just sitting around in the same area.

Has anyone got any ideas as to what these switches and plug are for. I'm not game to play with them until I know what they do in case I damage something. Thanks in advance for you help.

    Cheers

    Shane

    Hello Shane

Sounds like you've got extra go fast bits (tuned Eproms) installed in your ecu to suit road or track use.

Open up the ecu and take some pics?

Coming to Coona~? Show'n Shine is just 6 weeks away.

Could be wrong, but sounds like 1 of them is for the ECU Error code check?

    Partly True! Explanation inside. >>>

I have heard of people hooking up a switch and leaving the rotation piece you speak of left on. Switch is a lazy mans device so he doesn't have to use paperclip to join the 2 connections.

    Or so i remember reading.

:) I might agree ... IF, just IF...

Toggle switch is then mounted somewhere accessible and there were no other switches or cables coming from Shane's ecu. Besides, far easier to put switch under driver's side dash and tap into back of diagnostic connector.

More importantly, have you found share accomodation at Coona~ or booking in with a PSA? ;);)
