Ok, so, following up from a question raised in Z34T, what spoilers were available as FACTORY OPTIONS for a Z34's, including Japan?

Not including Nismo as we know they are much larger.

And specifically, can you buy the Z34 without a spoiler?

    Remember, Factory options.

I think they all came with one, and they are all the same - Happy to be proven wrong.

Coupe: only options are stock & Nismo (not available here for obvious reasons).

Roadster: not sure if the option is available, but all I've seen come without any spoiler.

    Cheers,
    Emile

All appear to be Jap imports, All current model NZ new have a spoiler, I'm assuming it's a JDM market thing although why anyone would want one without the spoiler is beyond me, it drags them back to that ugly 350z ass end look.

Once again Nissan Australia, thanks for giving us the bare minimum choice...

    It's probably for support reasons.

"Sorry sir, is that the hatch with or without the spoiler?"
"And is that the Nismo edition?"

Take the choice away and you just removed $1M per year in warehouse fees, and kept the price of the car down that little bit more. I expect that Japan has a much bigger "user base" and so can afford the warehousing - or they manufacture/supply on demand.

Or not. Either way, it's out of our hands.

Oh no doubt. Still pisses me off though. I would have loved to pick up a full Nismo 370Z, even if I had to wait a few months for it to be officially imported by Nissan themselves.

    Cheers,
    Emile
