Not really a Z in the traditional sense... he's looking to lose all parts of it that make it a Z apart from the chassis and roof height. Motor is going, all panels and aesthetic... maybe interior will still be there?

Read the lot - previously only knew what a magazine exert on Otomoto told me. I don't mind what he's doing, but it's a bloody stupid way how he's doing it.
If you were going about this, why the flipping **** wouldn't you thoroughly 3D model it first? Even if you had to pay someone to help you do it? A "suck it and see" approach is a god damn good way to waste a toweringly copious amount of your own time.
He's on point here. This is so commonly the dead give away.

Can sort of see the potential here. Right up until all the swoopy lines were slathered across the rear bar. Just because you can doesn't mean you should...

The size of that rear quarter panel is HUGE. IMO that has made it look a bit crap. Wheel size isn't right for the car. They needed to be larger diameter.

Lastly They used a 2+2 Donor. Huge mistake right there. The back behind the rear wheel is stupid long.

Rear tail lights look good though. except they should have been swapped side to side. They look like they are on backwards. :)

    My favourite bit:

'We picked up this 1989 model twin turbo 2+2 (Fairlady Z import) for less than $3000.'

LOL we all know how these turn out

The bloke runs a performance/import business, is the former editor of HPI, and has a few projects under his belt. I think he knows what he's getting into :)
