Well got the dash out in around 2 hours the other night (much time spent wasted trying to get it out when i'd forgotten a few bolts )
So anyway, is there anything I haven't thought of that I could fix while i've got everything out?
    My list so far is:
    - finish interior retrim and reassemble
    - replace heater core (duh)
    - fix lifting dash
    - give everything a bloody good clean

Anything else that I might have missed?

go through all your electrical connectors and all the wiring.

if you've replaced the stereo yourself, and have only wrapped the wiring together go through and solder all your wiring together.

prob not needed but will the dash is out you may aswell clean up all the wiring.

did all your heater/aircon controls work sweet? hook it up before u put the dash back in and test that air comes out of each window properly etccc

other than that, just make sure u put everything back in sweet, if a screw is missing get another one. if a screw is not tightening and just spinning use another one. its annoying when people put their dash back in with things vibrating and making noises.

    ;)

Good ideas guys. So to add to the list:
    - clean out all ducting pipes/tubes for aircon/heater. I knew there was something i'd heard that was a good idea to do, due to all the dust. (yes chad, aircon is working sweet)
    - wire in my gauges! Glad you mentioned that lol
    - I don't have an alarm as of yet but I have an immobiliser. Switches for that are well hidden but if I have the money I may also install an alarm. But i'm good at hiding things anyway :p and I have bloody long arms

Might be a good time to install LED lights in the dash?

Yes I was actually considering that, but might be too much of a hassle? Basically just trying to 'finish' my project zed and prepare her for sale. Don't want to go troppo but if that's something that would appeal to buyers I may do it

LED bulbs are easy to install and only cost about $20. They go into a light bulb baton just like your lights at home.

Good thread. I'm considering pulling my dash out and doing some work now.
