hey guyz, found a new toy for the zed, its a GReedy informeter, it displays information straight out of the ecu and plugs into the cars diagnostic port, features include temp water oil, ignition timing, injector duty cycle, throttle position, speed, rpm, batt voltage, air/fuel ratios and more.. just typing the info from mag, soundz like alot of info that is in real time on whats happening in the engine. So I need to know is an 89 tt zed OBD1 or OBD2 need this info in order to determine what harness to use, or is the zed maybe a bit to old   passed on this info to Tim from UAS and his looking into it, for $499.00 rrp its not a bad little investment. Oh by the way it also features warning zones in yellow or red and can be programmed when zones need to alert the driver not bad seeing defi guages cost a fortune but they look sexy, yet this is a great back up to other gauges:) :) if it works out maybe a GB soundz worth while;) ;)

to my understanding the consult port for the 89 z's are neither OBD1 or OBD2... they are a consult port and the OBD standards didn't come around till later 96 model or something?

don't take this as gospel, i just remember reading something a while ago... can anyone elaborate?

Hmmm...being an older car that might be a problem anyway sent a couple of emails out to ppl that are in the know so hopefully its good newzz:D :D ohh and yes it comes in black. Just found out that the kit comes with two extra wiring harnesses to allow connection ISO 14230 OBD and a non-OBD diagnostic port harness, so we could still be playing not out yet:D :D

89-96 are OBDI 96 onwards are OBDII. This refers to the ecu, as minivan says, there are a couple of different diagnostic ports for OBDI ecu's.

Theres no reason that this shouldn't be compatible with a 89 zed,

Just as a note as far as AFR's go, it's just reading the feedback from the O2's, so under throttle it's going to say rich no matter what.

I'm fairly sure that GREDDY would have a choice of plugs available, contact a vendor and ask.

It sounds really good value for $500, It's always good to have warning lights flashing :D BTW does it have a warning light for the Det Sensor? Cause that would shoot it sky high for value for money. (yes I know LINK does a knock warning system...I have it.)

From TRUST documentation: Suitable to Z32 89/7~ VG30DETT

in what they classify as Nissan (Non OBD).

For some reason not listed for NA.

    Location:
    yarra valley
    The 02's

as we no are narrow band, the imfo comming from them is collected in this volt range 0.9-1V, and is usless. Wide band is the way to go, dose it read wide band 02 sensors?

    I've got a Blitz

I've had a Blitz R-VIT for ages now, they are great, almost all ecu sensor values can be displayed and a warning high/low set with illumination and buzzer.

I see they have a colour version now too.
