Well last time the GOR was canceled a small group of us that still attended cruised up to Tektrader's place who then took us up to Puffing Billy so who knows, Im happy to cruise somewhere if the GOR is canceled.

    So far...

..Satellite looks good for Sunday so I reckon it'll be a go-er.
Remember last one! We had a couple of showers on the run down to the Otway Flyover then the rest of the day was magic!
Hell, I'm with Ross, I'll go even if it's on me skateboard lol!!!:br:

The only reason the previous GOR run occurred was not through bad weather. That is a fact of life. It was due to a tanker that had spilt oil on the road from Apollo Bay to Lorne (from memory) and there was also some trees knocked over the road in places.

Of course it is up to Kingy, but I would not expect this cruise to be cancelled due to bad weather alone. Man up people - it's only rain! As stated, Kingy will put up a status post on Saturday to advise all....

Mate - The only thing that will stop me from going is a hail storm.

I just need to know alternatives as I've got a friend from Sydney coming and I gotta show him something in Victoria if we got a message about cancellation.

On the money as always Col :D

the weather is not an issue,
its the safety of those attending and their cars that is paramount

At this stage we roll :br:

The big storms that went through last night were an easy 80~100Ks north of the Otways, we infact didnt get a drop of rain, nor were there any high winds. (storm activity was all north of the Princess highway)

At the moment in Lorne, its light grey cloud cover, with a very light breeze from the S/E, temp is currently 14degrees, visibility is approx 40Ks.......

    Perfect performance car weather

    fingers crossed.

So what's the route and expected times? I'm leaving for torquay in about an hour so I will have to internet access from that point on. Walking around the street and waiting for a heap of zeds to go past doesn't work well for me.

If I get another flat in the zed I'm pretty sure it will be the thing that pushes me over the edge.

Isn't torquay part of the GOR??
Let me rephrase that. What's the closest to Torquay that this cruise is going to?
At this rate I'm going to have to make my own GOR run!!

Not sure I can get out now. Lost our driveway an hour ago and our whole front yard is flooded. The rain keeps getting heavier by the minute. Can't even get a 4wd into our place now!! Determined to get out as I've already paid for our booking in Torquay!

I'll be coming from Anglesea & may end up just going straight to the cere's turnoff if running a bit short on time, are you guys planning to stop at the same little carpark as last year to meet up with all the melbourne guys?

    cheers, tim
