fuel filler neck

What product have people used to re-seal the fuel filler neck? I've done it before as per the Wicked tek article, I must have used the wrong sealant or something because it never really completely stopped the fuel smell.

 

I always used Kneadit to fix this problem mate. Never had one leak again........

Twist and mix the stuff up. clean all the old shit off the metal. Roll it into a sausage and put it around the cap lip. Put it in place and belt it to spread the sausage with a bit of wood and a hammer.........
