This is a recurring meet among the guys from skylines Au in canberra but a fair mix of cars drop by, just people standing around in a car-park talking crap until they decide to go find food but company was decent.

So if you're in the mood on a friday drop by or check the SAU thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/126057-friday-night-at-grevilla-park/page__st__2660 to see if anyone is out

Not certain if I'll be out this friday but if anyone else is keen I can make the effort.
Seems to usually kick off at around 9:30 but can still be people around/showing up much later

    Hi Tom,

Zed is outta commission at the moment, but when she's back up and running I'll come out for a look-see...

'fraid it could be a while, though... :(

    Iain.....

Geeze guys, what work is needed for them? I recently had a conversation with my boss that has led to a lot more free time :D if you need extra hands, my Z specific technical knowledge is still limited though (oil change, coolant lines at the back of the block). I do have lots of experience on the 120Y, they're pretty much the same right?

You too Dave? surely I can't have the only running 300 in Canberra, I was kinda counting on you and James to join in since I know you're partial to standing in car-parks late at night.

Ah, that sucks. probably the cheapest thing to fix on a 300 though

My beautiful baby currently has her heart (read: Battery) disconnected - which even I know is an easy fix...

However, the brain surgery is another matter entirely... She don't go so well without said brain...

As of today, her brain is at Haltech's Sydney Headquarters getting put through the technical ringer to see if it has as many misfiring synapses as I do... :stupid::rofl::rofl::rofl:

A Big thanks goes out to Zedmd :)thumbup:) for harassing the Haltech Sales/Support rep. at the 'Nats until he gave in and finally decided to do something useful and help me out!

Most of my fellow Canberran's (and many more of you out there in Zed-Land) know of the idle/low rpm issues my Zed has, issues that have been getting progressively worse for the past 4 or 5 years. With a bit of luck, Haltech will find and fix a fault, and she'll finally run right.

Dunno how long it'll take, but fingers crossed Haltech's assistance will mean I can properly get back to the business of having the best car in the world - a 300ZX!!! :D

    Cheers,

    Lil Baz..... :zlove:

Iain hope she is up and running before ZEDFEST.

Guys my 300 is going great ( as James said, it goes like a bloody stabbed snake) although braking is now a BIG issue, but I just can't do Friday Nights. But we do need to organise another cruise at some point soon.

Would have definately come except i'm working heaps these days due to the unexpected news of a complete rebuild in the near future after a compression test revealed numbers from 95-105 across all cylinders and the motor simply not holding boost internally. So your not the only Z on the road just yet. Will next time however.

Good to hear, I'll have to give you a run some time and see how mine holds up.

That sucks, maybe I should have held on to my job a little longer to save up for all that stuff, I definitely need new coilpack connectors for starters.

You going to try your hand at stripping it down or send it to a shop?

So in the end weather plus targas/hood/coilpacks/alarm meant I had to leave mine covered anyway and went out as ballast in my brother's R32. Not a bad turnout though
[IMG] plus a few more out of shot (obviously not at grevillea, seeking shelter but turned away)
