Hi everyone, just curious as to what the factory alternator output voltage should be at the battery terminal when running? Also, the amps output, is it 90amp/hr? How does that side of it work?
    Thanks

I had a look at the link, thanks.
Though what voltage is the z32 alternator producing? Is it at least 13.5v or a specific target there designed for?
My battery is a 85ah battery, and the alternator is 90amps, is the alternator big enough for my battery?
    Thanks

There isn't a specific target voltage for an alternator on this car compared to another alternator on that car. If the voltage measured measured is in the range that I mentioned under the conditions that I mentioned then it's working.

    The two are not connected.

Ampere Hours are not usually referenced on automotive batteries unless you have a deep cycle battery. Which is usually not ideal. Anyway 85ah means that the battery can supply an electrical load of 1 amper for 85 hours.

A 90a alternator can support 90a worth of electrical load. In a factory car this is plenty but if you were to run multiple fuel pumps, big sound system and electrical cooling fans (for example) then you may need to consider a higher capacity alternator.
