    Has anyone ever re-polished their intercooler(s) ?

I was looking at mine the other day and was just wondering if it's possible to get them re-polished without damaging them...they are looking a bit dull and I was going to change the piping so thought I might get them polished again if I can...

    Cheers
    Rob. :)

Yes you can get them re-polished. Just get them done by some one who is familiar with polishing car parts.
You don't want someone taking welds back too far or melting things.

Some parts have to be done little by little so as they don't get too hot.

    :)

    Hmm...thanks Caz,

I wonder where I should take them to then...I don't know anyone in Perth who is good with these kinds of things...

Just paint it black, done! lol

You could probably just buy a new intercooler for the money it would cost to pay someone to spend hours polishing it up.

yes to buying another one, however there is not that much effort needed to bring back the shine, if it wasnt polished to start with then yes paying 500-600 to get some new ones would be the better path to go down....

A bit of fine grit sanding and a few (read shit loads) of hours and elbow grease and they'll look like new...
