The camera for the not so happy snaps, Basically a camera with light on a flexable stick for checking inside cylinders to asses the situation first without having to pull the engine apart. Also found another good use for it, finding the engine number at the back of the motor.
Haha these things are great, poked a hole in the workshop divider and popped this through to see the south african jetski mechanic swearing his tits off at a jetski. And yeh... as a bore scope. What suprised me most about this toy however, the picture is so fast its almost realtime, you could do surgery with one of these!
This might not be as good, But could be a staring point. Hooked up to a 15" laptop might be a bigger picture http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/150607039550?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
My old man imports and sells a similar device. His has a wireless screen though. Makes finding engine numbers and lost bolts 10x easier!
On the wagon. These are brilliant tools to use. We have one in the workshop at which has became an invaluable item. We use it for exploritory surgery into the drop boxes and transmissions on the John Deere tractors. But personally I've used it for the same purpose wiz has. Borescopic evaluation. The camera is so detailed it showed the hone marks on the bores at perfect detail. I was amazed. Fair old expense though to own. Treat it well.
Yes expensive But borrowed it from my mate Rob from Presto Automotive. And it comes with the cables to hook it up to the TV or laptop. http://prestoautomotive.com.au/
