And what do you base these conclusions on? I have heard of a lot more problems with nismos than I have with sard.

    Have you

seen the test vid, its round here somewhere, and privately from members who seem pissed off enough. The injectors themselves are not the problem, its there position in the lower plenum (they dont sit low enough, and spray the port walls not ideal), and without modifing/maching the lower plenum they are, imo usless. Trick, expensive rail wont help either.

I really like the sard injectors but you really have to know what you are doing when installing them. 99.99% of people use the lower O-Ring that is included in the fitting kit... this is the main problem as they do not seat correctly, thus spraying on an angle and not protruding out the bottom of the rail.

If you purchase the right sized O-Ring they seat lower into the rail and being a Twin Hole Spray they seem to spray a finer mist than what the single spray nismos do.

You have to know by experience... not just by what people have told you. ;)

    I'll take your word

for it, but the port was designed for a single hole injector
and like you say sard is duel hole spray, and the pattern is wider, so it sprays into the port walls. Dose using a the O-ring you mentioned cure that?

    What about NISMO

Do the NISMO 555cc injectors need to be installed with an alternative O-Ring to get the best performance?

    Glad to hear that

I am glad to hear that the NISMO injectors do not need special O-Rings because now I don't have to pull my engine apart again!

Heaps of good information here http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=264348&highlight=aftermarket+fuel+rails on injectors etc.

To summaries SARD are not so good as your series one lower valley plennum is not designed for the wider fan you get with SARD/BORDER/PE/DENSO injectors. There is/was a video hosted somewhere in the thread I linked to above, the injectors used were correctly installed.

Nismo are a better option as even the pintle-less series 2 design spray straight throught the ports in your plennum.

After alot of testing and tweaking with various options I settled on Nismo 740cc injectors (series 2) and 300 degrees fuel rail.

Good info in this post http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?p=607292#poststop with pics of various spray patterns.
