i have a small ticking noise, gets louder and faster while reving revs, i understand it may be lifters but i'm leaning more twards timing belts, do they tick when they are due for a change.(also am due for a service) also i have notice my fan sounds really agressive. when reving at idle it makes a loud whooshing noise, very noticeable. am i on the right track with timing belts or is there another issue.
No more a ticking and it sounds like it is comming from the timing belt covers, but goes awy once warm.
maybe VCT Mine started yesterday, only happends at 1500 or 1600 rpm, im not sure 100% if it could be because you said it happens right thru the rev range.
