Certainly has been! Was woken up at 4:00am by gusts of more than 120km/h, neighbour behind me has pretty bad tile damage to his roof, we've had a lot of superficial damage to our garden and some roof damage to an outbuilding on our property. Our power's out, too. Was "garbage night" last night in our suburb too, so wheelie bins scattered everywhere + contents littering the streets. Many trees with broken boughs. Extensive damage to roofs, gardens and fences on Tolman's Hill, a suburb high on a hill above Dynnyrne/Sandy Bay. Power outages across much of Southern Tas, 3 causeways rendered very dangerous for driving by sheets of spray blown off the river/lagoon adjacent to them. I made my 20km drive to work OK, as the wind's died down by now. Never experienced anything quite this severe before. Hope all our colleagues here have got off unscathed. My Z remains safe'n'snug in her garage!
There was??? I didn't think it was so bad. I was woken by a chainsaw this morning, as one of the neighbours tree's had fall down. It's still a little gusty, but my Zed is sitting happily in the driveway. I just checked on her, & she is still smiling (though I think she wants to go for a spin)
just too dangerous a place, cliff ...!!!!! i think that it is time to start the ":thumbsdown:cliff don't go campaign"...!!!!
Similar weather in Melb about a month ago made me NEVER want to experience a hurricane. 120kph gusts are bad enough, but try to imagine winds of 250pkh!
Yeh couldn't believe it! the gusts set off my car alarm, but i was not going to go out and check it at 5 in the morn with that wind! so i thought... if the worst has happened ie. wheely bin i'll get some sleep first for a day of dispare... but all was good Thought the haouse was going to blow away! and its fairly sheltered where i live. whooo :zlove:
Baz, you're forgetting that the Targa goes past his future front door Are you sure you won't want trackside seats?
