yep, as the title suggests - had driving lights working for me no problems at all. Last night, had the car running with driving lights on and walked around the rear of the vehicle, noticed the passenger side tail light wasn't on. Swapped globes from the drivers side, no luck. Put my foot on the brake, still got brake lights on both sides. Any suggestions as to what this could be? Had a look at the fuse panel but from what i could see, all are okay and on the same circuit anyway. Don't really want to drive a lot with this problem as i imagine the police will go over my car with a fine tooth comb once they pick me up for a taillight out.
sounds like another case of the black box... there is a little black box in the boot area.. bypass that and you should be sweet.. we had a huge headache with mike's car... bypassed that box and all goood
Yes, it will be the lights relay box located at the drivers side tail light assembly. You can temporarily wire the dead parkers circuit to the number plate illumination wires to get it to illuminate.
I get a similar issue with my left rear (lights on) brake light. Intermittently goes out but brake lights will still illuminate. What does the box do & is there any issues with simply bypassing it??
http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=291410 right here mate, had the same issue not long ago.
only issue i can see with the bypass is you no longer get the light come up on your dash - but which light is that anyway? so to check, plenty of people have done a permanent bypass, not just temporary and had no dramas?
no dramas. yes you won't get a little light to warn you if any rear lights are out but driving lights can be easily checked anyway. it's only the brake lights that needs a bit more effort. get a brick or someone to help step on em once in a while.
Easier to check by reversing up to a window (like when going shopping). You can see the reflection in your mirrors.
Oh Dear God! I can see it all now(there's about to be an outbreak of Z32's reversing through shopfront windows). And it will all be your fault Greg.:bash::zlove:
