Hey guys and gals, how you all doing? I am just in the process of getting a new engine to put into my car, so I am putting my old one up for sale, its done 63000kms (aus spec 5-speed). Reason for pulling it out is that the gaskets went, and since I am not a very mechanical person, when I was advised to buy a new engine by my mechanic, I took his word for it...I know its probably not a real major job to fix it if you know what you are doing, but ah well, like I said I am not a mechanical person...the motor is/was still very tight, really responsive while maintaining the torque... I forgot to mention it is a non-turbo If someone is interested please pm me and i will get back to you...I am sure it will be worthwhile for someone with a blown motor... Kind regards, Reggie

I would be interested in the gear box/clutch/etc if it is the same in N/A's and TT's?? but you will prob keep that if your doing a swap hey?
For anyone that knows what they are doing you could probably sell the engine in parts for more than that ie seperate Plenum, Throttle Bodies, Coilpaks, injectors, gearbox, sell all the little bits. You would need to be mechanically minded and have the space to do it but you could make a buck or 2
