Hey all, finally got up and got going on this project. I've been stuffing around for ages and it needed to be ready for my 29th birthday so heres the thread, ENJOY! so I began with a bare shell and built it from the ground up, gave it a brand new paint job, all new trimmings, lovely zorst and the engine really takes the cake. Here's a frame by frame. for any good project you need a plan, then we stripped it back and prepared the chassi to make sure it was up to the job of carrying this monster!! now that the chassi was done we started the long process of re fitting the body and the roof panels on now as well!! yeeew!!! time for a trip to the panel beaters to whip that crisp clean paint job into shape and a bit more whipping.... and now we added all the new trimmings. we didnt cut any corners here, had to get it perfect!! finally its starting to look like a finished project. just a bit of attention to detail and lets chuck on a massive exhaust for extra noise and HP! the finished product, just on time for my 29th!! A massive thank you to my good mate Jimmy who literally learnt how to make a cake and then made this over a two day period. I think it is definately worthy of a build thread. I dont think anyone has put this much effort into a cake for any of my birthdays before so cheers!! tech specs HP: gave me a couple after I ate it 1/4 mile time: was pretty quick in the back seat of the zed mods massive exhaust standard rims but low profile tyres really really soft suspension a motor that takes the cake! custom interior (although there is not much room) yeah.... thats it.. z
This is bloody awesome! But I would have gone a bigger scale, so I could fit more detail lol! :zlove: And you lied to us, it's a 2 Seater! Look at the model, and the fuel cap location! MoulaZX
LOL, your right, its definately a 2 seater. I never got a look at how the interior finished up so I just assumed 2+2.... took about 3 hours at the panel shop, the panels were hand moulded from scratch from a high tech composite! and the colour was embedded. just gave it a quick coat of clear at the end for some added shine. there must have been a turbo problem cause on the first start up the zorst caught on fire and then one side went out and the other just burnt until there was a significant carbon residue on the rear bumper. Im guessing a wiring problem, maybe I should post up a tech article? z
technically its a cake so im not sure that seats and turbos apply? sorry to spoil it, I know you all thought it was a freaking awesome build on a massively cool yellow zed.......but no, its cake...
