    with this pic???

Have a look at the boost gauge, in theory wouldn't that be -14 (due to it being on the left hand side) therefor a vacuum??
Or is the right hand side of the gauge the vacuum?
Anyone got another gauge shot with the - & + a bit easier to see?
    I'm confused :|

yes the boost gauge is showing..>>

vacuum and left is negative.[image]http://members.optushome.com.au/dhruv/speedo.jpg[/image]the car is being revved in nuetra(see speedo)
and will not hit boost in neutral, as there isn't enough load on the motor to provide the neccessary exhuast pressure to spin the
turbos fast enough to generate boost. (i think)
thats why its showing a vacuum.hope thats what u were after :) Cheers

    where is boost taken from?

is boost measured at the throttle bodies?
or is it measured in the intake plenum?

    Sorry disagree...>>>

A turbo car will boost if reved in neutral (all be it only very low boost) if you a prepared to give it a good rev at WOT.Andrew G

    Normally at the plenum.

Behind the throttle bodies. This is because there is a convieniant place just off the balance pipe next to the brake booster. If you want a better indication of how the system is behaving you should have another one T'd in near the outlet to the turbo and probably one between the intercooler and the throttle just for tuning purposes. Air temp, exhaust pressure guages are handy also.Cheers,Danny
