Early-type Turbosmart boost controller re-connected by mechanic during engine re-build...he made a comment about "over-boosting" but is no longer on the scene and won't answer calls. No problems previously when not connected; have tried Turbosmart but they are loathe to comment without seeing unit. The controller has a 'twin-tower' arrangement with one low and one taller adjustment 'towers'. Want to know if adjustment is simply a matter of screwing up or down the adjustment screws in each tower...and which way DECREASES the boost! Any help...??
that would be a dual stage boost controller, should have a missile switch or similar located somewhere for high/low boost. Get a boost gauge on it and adjust to your liking.
It's unlikely you will encounter any problems with it if it is disconnected! Take the car over to Turbosmart & have them take a look at it.
