Hey all, Have been searching but i cant seem to find what i'm looking for... Just wondering if anyone can either link me to or maybe tell me what the specs of the stock turbo's are? Garrett: Compressor wheel size: Turbine wheel size: etc etc Any help would be much appreciated! Cheers!
Wouldn't it be the other way around? t25 compressor with t22 turbine? (just seems to make more sense to have a bigger compressor with a smaller turbine than a bigger turbine with a smaller compressor) -Kirill
The compressor and turbine are both 40mm stock. I actually took some pics of the hi flows and stock before I sent yours out. Just have to find em Your Hi flows on the left, Stock on the right Stock on left. Hi flow middle and GT28RS right The compressor wheel is the same size as the GT28RS one about 47mm. The turbine is about 42mm in the hi flow and 39-40mm in stock
All good Tek. I saved those pics for reference! I was just trying to find info on the stock turbs ie: model and power output to have something to compare the high flows. I'm curious to see how they will perform actually!
Yeah saw that... Just not sure if their high flows have the same spec wheel sizes etc? Is the reason the exhaust turbine is 43mm vs 47mm beacuse the 47mm woudln't fit?
600hp on stock internals with gt28rs similar spec to your new ones. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vvMyXDGMIY
They are NOTHING like Chillpains..... The ones in the video are 28RS, disco potato's, the real deal, the genuine article !!!!!!! Chillpains got some "highflows", which are oem turbos with a bit of meat taken out of the snailshells and some larger wheels jammed in to try and move some more air "on the cheap". It's about time some people on this forum got a grip on reality For Christ's sake, the guy in the video was running 30psi (yes, THIRTY POUNDS) of boost through his 28RS's. A hell of a mean feat, especially if he has stock internals as stated, but there's no way in the world your gonna do anything like that with a shitty set of highflows
grip on reality The reality is a 20psi highflows produce piston melting heat, and not much else, did every one forget that to.
ok my bad. are they same comp wheel though? will chilledpains have 360 thrusts in it to be able to run a little more boost. i wasnt saying he will get 30psi lol i was thinking mabe 17psi would be nice to run and tune.
depends on what you want, performance tune with a bit of safty, or a safty tune with a bit of performance.
Can't tell if they are the same compressor wheel.... from the information given. We've been told the compressor Inducer size is "about the same size" but the Exducer size has not been quoted. As for running 17psi, there are plenty of forum members using highflows and 265-280rwkw seems to be the ballpark figure for 17-18psi.
