Had a poke around in my fusebox yesterday...

Is this nomal? Relay in the Cornering L and RR Fog spot. Seems weird to have a relay for those two things in one. Specially as mine doesn't have rear fogs and not sure what a Cornering L is  (light?)

Zed is a '93 Series 2 NA 2 seater manual.

wouldn't it be an either / or sort of thing? Corner lights not used in the euro market in place of a rear fog light?

Im pretty sure my 93 j-spec NA has this relay too... But I have no rear fog lights...

Oks, what are corner lights

they are the lights in the J-spec front blinkers that illuminate to the side when you turn your indicators on...

Here is a pic of my fuse box. Same car: late 93 j-spec NA.
I have added a relay to the 'sub fan' location for a thermofan. Ignore this ;)
The rest should be representative of 'stock'

I stuck my pinky our in that pic for a reason Chris :p

It's tells you which country would use what on the box.

Cornering lights: DOM (Dominican Republic, legal requirement)
RR Fog light: EUR (European legal requirement)

Kewl, thanks for that. I might go looking through the wiring diagrams and see what that relay actually does.

Technically nothing if it's an Aus-spec.

DOM is most likely "Domestic" as in the Japanese DOMESTIC market.

That's what I was thinking. Can't seem many Zed's being sold in the Dominican Republic, specially as it's a island in the Caribbean :p

Mines a j-spec. Originally had fog lights, but were removed to fit the veilside :vomit:

Maybe cornering lights is another word for indicators?

Lol true, but then shouldn't all our J-specs come with corner lights then? Instead we have parkers in the fog lights.

The fog light it's referring to is the red one on the rear bumper on UK-specs. I see it on Excels here in Aus a lot, very bright and very annoying :p

no in the S2 cars (93+) the cornering lights where basically driving lights in the indicators that came on to illuminate whatever side of the car you were indicating to turn to...was a half assed effort, lexus did a much better job of it in 2005

Aaah then it's a S2 thing then. Ignore all I have said previously :p

It's the kooky jap stuff that makes these cars so damn fun.
I had a great time showing my mates how my side mirrors fold in at the push of a switch. Didn't know it was only a S2 thing though...

Folding mirrors aren't, they were an option from the getgo. S2 had a different climate control and cornering lights.
