OK Folks, these dates are the real dates! It's on again folks, a weekend of fun, frivolity and whales. This will be our fourth visit to Eden because Judy likes it so much. Activities should include: Saturday lunch cruise to Tathra Pub * Saturday BBQ Dinner on the Beach (catered by Judy) Sunday morning whale watching Sunday lunch cruise to Merimbula Wharf Aquarium Restaurant * * Lunch destinations could swap depending on how many Victorians are heading home on Sunday. Cat Balou Cruises have pencilled in twenty spots for us on the 8am (need to be at wharf by 7:30am) whale watching cruise for Sunday 15th November. You will need to confirm and pay for your own tickets which will cost $65. There are plenty of accommodation options in Eden but the following three motels are right next to each other in the middle of Eden: Twofold Bay Motor Inn $99-$190** Whale Fisher Motel $55-$95** Heritage House Motel & Units $120-$180** ** Room rates as listed on http://www.nowwhereroute.com/touringdetail/ Some of us will be travelling to Eden on the Friday. Please let us know if you're coming so we can cater Saturday nights BBQ. If you have any camping lamps they might be very useful as there is no public lighting on the beach. Folding chairs could also prove useful.
Canberrans Travelling Friday Judy and I will be having a leisurely drive down on Friday morning, for those of you that wish to join us our itinerary is something like: 9:00 - Coffee at Café in Gibraltar St Bungendore 9:30 - Depart Bungendore 11:00ish - Stretch Legs at Batemans Bay (Maybe another coffee) 11:30 - Depart Batemans Bay 13:00ish - Lunch at Bermagui Fishermen's Co-Op (Best Fish and Chips for many miles) 14:00 - Depart Bermagui 15:40ish - Arrive Eden
Hi Ian, I am certainly interested in attending Eden again. However, one of my sisters turns 50 on November 21st, and I may be Perth bound somewhere in that period. As yet no confirmation of any function or timing, plus another 1 or 2 possible events in November means I can't commit at this point. On a different note, last week I got RZ2 back in my care and running well, so if I do come, it will probably be to put a few kays on the motor , and it would be good to catch up with the Canberrans again. Hi Ian, I too am interested in coming along to this! Been unable to make it for the past few due to other events etc, but I hope this year will be different. I've never been whale watching and excluding ferries i've only been on a proper boat once! So ALL good reasons to come along! Will let you know in a few weeks Cheers, Andrew

On the past trips I've stayed at the Heritage, but all 3 motels are good and are right next to eachother. Cheers, Peter
Whale Fisher is where I've stayed in the past, cheapest of the three and therefore basic, but clean and tidy.
