Hey guys, time has come for me to renew my insurance. I'm looking for the cheapest option with a half decent insurer. right now im with suncorp, and they want to charge me $1400 for the next 12 months~! with $700 excess. INSANE. My car is an aus new import, 2+2 N/A. i've never crashed it bar one little car park incident that didnt involve any other cars, just a big dumb pole. Anyways, so far i've found that NRMA insurance might charge me around $800 per year with a $500 excess. Seems fairly cheap to me, does anybody know if they are a good insurance company? Any information will be of great help. cheers

Is this full comprehensive? Or just thirdparty fire and theft?

I'm with NRMA for 3rd party fire and theft insured for $10k and its about 380 a year. With 700 odd excess.

Im with NRMA with full comp for an NA 2+2 and my parents have been with em for many years. We've had a few cars stolen and they've always been quite good.

True... insurance is a bitch for turbos, even NA's with p plates get raped by the insurance companies. Either go third party fire + theft or try and insure it in parents name...

    lol

Yea, surprisingly enough i've been told that by a few people. i decided to leave them initially when i moved from ashgrove to kangaroo point ( slightly north of city to very close south of city for those not familiar with brisbane) and they are charging me an extra $300 per year because of it. even though my car is now off the street parked in a garage which it wasnt before. So im going to go with NRMA unless somebody has any better ideas :) thanks for the help
