GT675RS install Hey all!!!!! Jus got my turbo's today. Pretty excited!!! Thanks to Street to Strip. An comin across a couple of issues. First- Do you need to keep the heat shield on the exhaust manifold???? as there isn't really enough clearance with the bigger turbo to leave it on. Secondly- Because of the increased size of the part of the turbo that feeds the engine(please excuse my poor terminology) Z1 have had to install a spacer where the hard pipe(oil outlet) connects to the turbo. This cause the pipe to not totally miss the pipe coming from the block hmmmm. Usually they line up nicely. Any ideas. Dont really wont to try to bend pipe.
Hicas lock and 19 row oil cooler installed!!! Hey guys!!! Getting there. Fitted the hicas lock bar and the oil cooler today(thanks to Pete from AMEC). Not long now n we'll be firing. Useing stock oil lines for now will change to braided nylon later. Cheers
Awesome progress! Looks like you'll be screaming down the road anytime soon. Thanks for the updates. Keep it up! :zlove: Poor Fate will be reading this and shedding a tear me thinks

Wish i could Still gota drop the motor back in and connect everything up. Then im good to fire it up!!!
YEAH!!!!! GOT IT STARTED!!! Fired it up this arvo. Just a few quick idles on n off. making sure we got oil everywhere. Had a few earthing issues at first. Dropped another battery in an it started every time. Got the options of buying light weight alloy under drive pully, ps pully an alternator pully, Unorthodox brand. Second hand for $200 for the set. Good deal??? Also picked up some cheap R32 GTR rims for $500 with tires. Couple are a bit gutter scrapped. but still good. 5 spoke 18" by 9.5". Mannn!!! Awesome day!!!
Yeah, that's a bargain for the pulleys. Go it! Good to hear you got it working. No dramas getting the gearbox on?
Your making pretty good progress with that. Did you get the rims n stuff from wayne? post some pics of the wheels I wanna have a look
ITS A LIVE ! Good on ya, you certainly havnt stuffed around. Hows it running are you tearing up the neibourhood yet ? lol In regards to pully's if you want your motor to provide more power and move quicker towards a rebuild, go for it. But based on the requird power above (300Kw) I think you will be able to produce that without a lightened pulley. Awesome a spair set of tyers leaves a set for static traction measurements
Pictures Few pics for every one. Got the engine back in Rear rim with 265's on Front rim. This is the one with the worst damage Also how do i post a short video??
No dramas mate Nah all good just had to line it up nice n straight, bit of a shuffle n in it went. One helper made a big difference.
