I will be looking for 1 investor per vehicle for this concept. The investor will provide the vehicle and pay for the parts. We will build the car. The investor will take 50% of the profits, and of course get first drive of the car once its built. I am in the process of doing up a prospectus document for anyone who is interested in investing. Send me a pm if you are.
so, 4-5 for a car....6k for parts for the engine....3k for brakes.....3k for wheels and slicks and 2k for suspension 19k for a car....????
Would......... .......be interested to see some Potential Market figures and Profit forecasts and how they were calculated Pete Why not put your current AMEC car into the ring to test the market?
Because it's a 50/50 split of profits I am presuming Amec's contribution/labour would be $19k also, either on the initial build or against future requirements. So the investor puts up the notional $19k to get it to the track. Then it's tyres, fuels, maintenance, repairs after the inevitable nudge/bingle/total destruction, etc. Is it also 50/50 split on all future costs? The investor gets the intial drive and I presume other drivers pay per drive. How many drives per season for the investor? The hire charges would need to be substantial to cover all the above costs and return a profit, which to the investor would be 50% of the Nett after ongoing costs & expenses. What happens if a hirer totals the car? Is insurance possible on a race car? Might need additional sponsorship money.
30k? bullshit, get a cheap zed, do the 100k service, put on a front mount, make sure engine is healthy, ramp up the boost, stock suspension = sweet enough, get some brembos. i dont think the cost will be anywhere near 30k or even 20k. im sure even 300-350rwhp would be enough for a fun day on the track.
no the investor just puts up the initial cost of building the car, no ongoing costs. the Investor could drive my car for a session each sprint day I guess as well.
whos gonna pay to drive a tt zed that so many people already have? the idea is to drive a 400rwkw one.. not a 230rwkw odd one
Why............. ......did I suspect you might say that pete How then will you do a market test to get an idea of potential customers = cash flow? Or, are you just going to wing-it?
will worry about that once all the legalities are sorted and if the concept can even get off the ground first.
How about a nice 1985 NA Z31? Who here wouldn't pay to drive it? Especially with its sexy 132rwhp. I dont think I'd be up for throwing my Z32 in the ring but, she is fragile and isn't ready for racing yet.
Hmm, sounds like it could turn out to be an alright investment But yeah would be good to see market and profit figures and so on, I don't see too much drama with it though, it would be a little while before the money started to turn around, but hey thats all businesses, when would you be looking to start it? How much you planning to charge per run would be nice to know too
have u considered importing a Race only Z from japan..!!! there cheap. especially when u dont have 2 go through compliance rego etc there are a ton of 3.1-3.2 z32s for sale in japan atm with turbos and cages etc!!
