Cross-threaded plenum bolts (Balance pipe)

Just thought I'd share, as some might be in the same boat.

My balance pipe comes off quite often, and in doing so... the balance pipe bolts were starting to cross-thread badly.

Fixing this issue is VERY easy. I went to a nuts & bolts supplier, and bought some studs (I brought in a bolt for reference). I also bought some nice stainless steel dome nuts.

The studs were a little long, so I simple placed them in a vice... and cut them back with a hack saw.

I then applied some lock tight to the section that was going into the plenum, and screwed them in firmly (I used to nuts locked against each other to screw the stud in).

It is a little harder getting the bracket on the right hand side over the studs, but it does fit back in place.

I actually think it looks neater, and I am unsure why it wasn't designed this way in the first place.

I hope this might be of some use, or help to fellow members.
