Right, my zed has been off the road for a while now which means I have to get a blue slip to get it registered again. Mechanically it is fine BUT I have wheels that require spacers to clear the calipers.
I am aware that they are illegal and supposedly unsafe and I am expecting to hear the usual - sell your wheels and buy some that fit.
What i would like to hear is recommendations for places that could possibly be lenient, or any opinion on what i can do.
    Any advice would be great.

    Cheers people
    Erik

oh, and i am in the Lower North Shore area of Sydney

Throw some stockers on, then swap the wheels back when you have the blue slip...?

get some proper bolt on spacers.
Just jap sell a range for about 15mm to 30 odd.
bolt ons will pass the blue slip, but slip on spacers will not

    linky for ya http://www.justjap.com/parts_nhubs.htm
hope it all goes well for you.

    Cheers for the help guys,

If I had a set of stockers I would for sure. As for the spacers, @ $600, that would convince me to buy a set of wheels that do fit.

I'm sure one of the local boys will have a spare stocker set you can borrow.

    Speaking of blue slips.

    What things are tested?

I need to go for my blue slip soon as well and i was wondering if they could detect a missing EGR. I have thought about taking mine off except simon from TTZed mentioned that it may not pass...

I know they test exhaust db too, and that its, i think, max of 120db @ 3000rpm.

    What about pod filters?
    Staggered wheels?
    Camber arms/after market suspension?

Is the blue slip just a "PASS" or "FAIL" thing?
What is the actual process... sorry for all the questions... just curious

Are you sure that is JustJap's quoted price for bolt-on spacers, or the price for 4-stud to 5-stud conversion plates?? Would not have thought normal spacers to be anywhere near that price... Give JJ a ring and confirm - tell them what you want them for...
As for using stock rims for a blue slip and then changing back to aftermarket.... be careful re your insurance.... make sure they know you are running different rims else they could refuse a future claim.
