you would go out there to buy something with your hard cash and people want to sell you a copy ,, yes it is cheaper but not better then the original.. and plus a copy is just that a copy ,, each to their own i guess.. after the buy it breaks down , i don't understand why people do this to them self's , it just costs more to replace , iv had my car ( badxtc) for about 10 11 years now I'm happy to say that 99% of the aftermarket parts on my car are original... who else has this problem?????????.. I'm not having a go at all I'm just saying that original prats, your better of .... but then again some parts are so expensive you touch them.....
lol Give us an example then? If ur talking about bodykits, then original bodykits are increasingly hard to find these days, and because of this the $$$ would prob be higher, most ppl resort to "copies" as they still look good imo...
final time! im not moulding them to your car woman! i dont even have them any more! i do have some echo skirts but...
Not quite sure what you're talking about here. OEM parts are original, "aftermarket" parts are not(and are generally copies of the original parts).:zlove:
yeah . just some of the copy don't fit good ( bodykits ) that's all I'm saying. just letting buyers to be careful when they are getting there parts
Unfortunately Alex, that why copies are cheap, because they are exactly that, cheap Ive bought a Nissan 99 spec bar (perfect fit) ,Stillen sideskirts(perfect fit) ,Kaminari rear bar (perfect fit) ,its the only way to go with bodykits imo The pity is you have to go a top brand manufacturer to get that and it comes at a price :zlove:
lol haha I'm talking about the people that make there own body kits , to me Simon the parts you got are brand name parts so you know that its going to work out well for you and fit properly , when i said copy , i mean the people that make the kit up , as an example max speed, he was making the body kit for the 300zx ( z32) i seen with my own eyes.. the kit had so many waves on it it wasn't funny....
its kinda like saying i hate you for wearing target brand clothes because i only wear armarni and gucci.. people will always buy copies and yeah i'm one of them, allthough surprisingly my copied bodykit isn't available in australia, and its fits perfect!!!
Dude are you an idiot, i dont mean to be rude but how do you think all the big places got a name, do you think they started one day and the next day they were huge and had perfect fitment, i doubt it, whats wrong with somehting a little different, whats wrong with a little custom work, whats wrong with someone other than Stillen, veilside, bomex etc doing research and development. Yes copying these people is just making a quick buck off someone elses idea if thats what you are referring too but not everyone wants to pay 5k plus shipping for a genuine kit to be sent from japan or the US And technically anyhting aftermarket is copied from nissans idea originally. Personally i buy all nuts bolts for my car from a blacksmith cos i know they made them originally so i dont want the big hardware stores to put them out of business, lol
name a blacksmith that makes nuts and bolts from a lump of steel by hand dude... a part that would fit on the zed...
ok well this has gone over ppl heads... OK well,, would anyone like to buy a front bar that has all ripples on it and dint ( like things ) in it?? I'm sure you don't .. this is what i meant,, not talking about brand names and this and that,, just purely if your going to make something for a car, then do a good job on it so it does not look like shit when you put it on your car... when i say copy i don't mean people like veilside, trust, apexi, jun, and so on. all we ask for is a good job , so build it write, when backyarders builds a veilside copy , kit , they just don't look as good.. when you got a beautiful straight bonnet , I'm sure you don't want a poor looking front bar....... misconception everywhere,,,lol:bash: :bash:
Thats why I dont have a veilside front bar! No offence to the people that like them - Call me a fiscal conservative, or Kevin Rudd, same thing really.
i find it hard to believe dude.. no one hand makes an M8 bolt taking days to manufacture just to screw in a fender...
he has a mould and he heats it all up and pours it in, then removes all casting burs and then polishes it on the backsides of greek goddess's, so you know its really good, its looks the same as the ones from bunnings though, but you know its better cos the guy told me so
