2nd case I've heard of. Did you buy the PTU through that group buy, and solder your connectors yourself? Or was it straight from nissan with the harness?
Easy way is to get tom to have a look see.. why dont you give him a buzz ross. but if you wanna test out another ptu or run conzult it will give you the error code. Also if you reset the ecu that will show you if there is any error codes. ( see service manual)
Stranger things... Well, if anyone can do it, you can Shaq... It's a weird one though. I've never heard of a series 2 dying...they are too new...unless you bought a second hand one from an old model. I don't know how my series one PTU has lasted so long actually...bulletproof that thing... Cheers Rob.
ive spoken to tom at pzp,hes gonna give me a hand and look over my "bucket'o'puss" zed ive run codes, nothing but code 55.....reset ecu same result....
Have you been doing any work on the car lately? I think one of the little earth wires that screw in at the back of the plenum is for the ignition circuit, if that is left off it would cause a problem.
Not the first. I know of one series two that failed previously. My series one is still going strong, have a new series two in the boot just in case though.
