I voted red ...well because...however I think that the white with black bonnet, roof tail combo looks really nice, it blends in the targas and exagerates some of the better curves of the bodywork. But Z Red touches the spirit of sports cars that reflects boyhood dreams of having a Ferrari. It is said the Z is the Japanese vision of the marriage between porche and ferrari in its shape, I can see that thats where they were getting their inspiration. It is almost shaggable and I never tire of staring at it.:zlove:
i went for silver, in my opinion nothing flows the zed better then silver... except for one, candy apple red... ohh baby, i prefer it deeper then most people tho with my candy coats, which is ironic because its got a silver undercoat! bwahahaha. but yeah i love black zeds, but as far as excentuating its curves, i believe that the black hides them more while silver makes them stand out.
its gotta be black. ive got metalic black on my car (its been resprayed at least once in its life, so not sure if its stock) but i love it:zlove:
My midnight PURPLE zed is getting a respray......... Its staying purple but I'm going for a "brighter" purple, something with a bit more "boldness" to it...... its a very similar color to the FORD purple thats current in fords model range. Reason for this is its been 20 years since the zx was released and therefore the std factory paint colors ( which were once very 'fresh, new & daring" are now nothing but old school tech. There are heaps of choices out there so its time to update the color to 2007 formulas. Black = common as,..... a bit like white VL commodores ! & black is a real bytch to keep clean, every speck of dust and every minor panel imperfection will standout like the testicles on a freshly shorn ram ! Red = common, and a plain color that needs something extra ( red is also usually the most expensive color ) Yellow = not common, but a tad plain , looks good with a pearl. Silver= boring ( red & silver are the 2 worst colors for fading by the way) Blue = Bright blue YES ! dark blue ....yuk Purple= not common The factory purple is a bit 'dull' Orange= Trendy at the moment on Supras etc, looks good but I think its just a current 'fashion' that wont last. Marone = yawn ..... Did they get the leftover paint from Valiant/Chrysler ? White= The factory pearl is a "dirty pearl" ( never looks clean) Duck down to the local panel shop an have a look at the 2006/2007 color range from paint manafactures, there are some absolute wicked colors to pick from..... Standard colors are old, if ya going to respray then update the color aswell. Kingy
i have to agree with that has any1 seen the new really dark blue/green colour on the mazda'z? Thats a hot colour. and also the colour on the ripcurl falcon utes? both awsome colours but i aint sure how much they would suit the z!
Red of course! But black is my second favourite car colour. Not the mica/pearl blacks, but solid, with a really deep finish (many coats of clear?) Also has the advantage, that if you don't go for a TOTAL respray (engine-bay, interior painted surfaces) the dark grey will not look too out of place. I didn't vote, because my opinion really counts for nothing in comparison with your own personal preference
eh someone just delete this thread...its pointless!!! search lads :bash: how many times have we had threads like this in the past!!! everyone says the same damn thing.....o0o0o my Z's better coz its black...ahhh my Z goes faster coz its red...cmon ppl!!!! :banned:
I agree - love some of the colours in the Mazda range. Is this the green you meant on the upcoming Mazda 2? And is this the blue? Nice colour, would suit the Z. My Mazda 3: Or this darker blue: Of course, I voted for black... BEAUTIFUL colour IMO, makes it look new having a decent paint job. People who don't know much about 300ZX's can't believe it when I tell them that it's 18 years old. :zlove: EDIT: Yessssss, Senior Membership! Finally!!! *pause* Hmmmm, doesn't actually feel that much different. Might explain the grey hairs though...
ANGRYANGRYANGRY!! lol don't worry no offence taken. I'd like to get mine done black with a red pearl thru it. Kind of a dark, blood red. But never marone.
Jet Black looks great as long as the bodywork underneath is immaculate! Mine looks pretty good, but I keep finding little dodgy bits And it gets dirty before you finish washing it With Grey to Black the engine bay sort of blends in and isn't as noticable as some other colours you could choose. Lambo Orange is also quite nice
There's a 4seater in Geelong that's painted that color ( or damn close to it ) Full VS body kit and a brazilian back.... looks sweet as
