I have a High performance Import for sale (very regretfully), Details below:

Engine/Aspiration: 3 Litre V6 Twin Turbo (less than 100k on the Odometer)

Transmission: 5 Speed Manual with Race Short Shift

Power Output: 284BHP (Standard) Now Approx 400BHP at 8lbs Boost (Capable of up to 18lbs)

211 KW (Standard) Now Approx 300 KW ( at the wheels

    Colour: Burgundy

Long list of Modifications: Examples Below:

    Monster Front Mount Intercooler (Dual Core, Quad Pipe) ? 600mm x 300mm x 100mm
Aftermarket Racing Suspension ? Bee Racing Street/Track (very solid)
White Line Strut braces front and back ? Rear is adjustable (Adjusts Camber and Stiffness)
Aftermarket Racing Brakes ? RSBSRSS Slotted & Cross Drilled Racing Rotors with High Performance Racing Pads
Race Twin Plate Ceramic Button Clutch
Full Bomex Body Kit worth $5000 with addition custom Spoiler (only 20 in the world, worth $2500)

Full Alarm System including Remote Central Locking and Remote Start

Amongst other things, too many to list.

There are a few imperfections with the car (Stone Chips on Kit and needs good cut and polish) but very minor and the list of mods makes up for it.

Needs Registration in Tasmania but this will come out of the price as it will need to be changed over by me then put into the buyers name.

    Hi mate nice looking Zed

What engine work has been done to the car to make 300rwkw and is that at 8psi or 18psi. Thats some decent power a dyno chart would help with the sale also a list of engine mods would do wonders as well, plus add a few pics of the interior and of the engine and you should be in business. Generally the more info the better.

Is the car currently registered or out of rego, if out has it been complied in AUS.

I am doubtful you will get 20k though for an 89 but it depends if someone falls in love with it or not so the more info the better.

Good luck with the sale and welcome to the forum mate its a shame you might be leaving soon unless you have purchased another zed

    Dyno graph

You're not going to get 300kW with just an FMIC and zorst. What other performance mods does it have? Looks like a very nice car but I wouldnt believe that power figure without some proof.

Yeah the car is complied in Aus and is registered as I am diving at the moment. Yes the power output shown is at 8psi. I would have the dyno chart (there isn't reallt one that is easily accessable near here) along with its quater times but the guy I bought the car off is stupid and got rid of them or never had them, one or the other. I will be putting more pics up today if not tomorrow. I will add a few more details as in mods as well. Not to sure about the extent of the engine mods though but do know of couple of things.
If you would like to know it's capabilities just look up the specs of the late model Chev GTO and add some. I dragged one recently in it and by 200m I was two car lengths in front then he slowed down cause he is soft. I have had the car clocked at 250km/ph and it was still pulling just ran out of road. There aren't many roads down here that are suited for high speed.
I won't be going anywhere as I have another Zed with over 20k spent on the engine alone not including labour.

    Target market

Unfortunately, the end of the market you are targetting (~$20K) is more commonly populated by 'older' zedders who have the cash money to throw around. (It's often difficult for young guys to get big loans for these 18yo cars). And what most of us old-timers are looking for, is more evidence of maitenance history and how the car has been treated instead of stories of hi-speed tests, drag victories and racing parts fitted.

I wish you the best of luck though. it looks pretty good!

Where abouts in Tas are you located?

I have never seen this about before.

That doesn't really mean anything I'm afraid. I have been beaten by a mates Supra (same power output) many times because he got a better start. But then other times I have handed him his arse.

Sounds interesting, who is doing the work?

Maybe you should check out taz300zx's Chev GTO killing zed, its only a short drive to anywhere in tazzie.;)

Firstly it wasn't off the line it was from 50km/ph so it was just a pure moving start acceleration drag. Which is much more acurate at showing who has the faster car and we were both ready for it so he was making sure he had max power fo rthe start as was I. And the other car I have is the same model but with the engine worked from top to bottom and it was done by CrankShaft Rebuilders in Melbourne.

There has been a price drop due to me needing to sell to pay for my wedding.

Now asking $15,000, there is no change to the car apart from the rego cost is on top of this price now.

Maybe i am missing something but have you personally had the car on a dyno and seen 300kw @8 psi? Because from what you've said above it sounds like this is what the previous owner claims but he's since lost the paperwork to back it up? Assuming that's the case and i'm not missing something here you should really take the car to a dyno shop and get a graph printed out. If it does make that power then i reckon the $50 you spend putting it on the rollers will be more than recovered with the sale...

    dont trust previuose owners words....

When I brought my 180SX I was told by the guy who owned it back then:

    1) It has the turbo from the SR20 (T25g)

    2) Should run low 14's mate

The car did NOT have a T25g turbo. I didn't find that out till about a year later when i asked the question to a workshop who was working on it.

Niehter did it run low 14's. Even after i'd slammed 255's on the rear and added a full 3" turbo back system, the best it ran was 14.98.....and then the head blew.

    just saying.

All the best but maybe if you're really after $20K (edit. sorry $15k now), spend some $$$ first and get a dyno read out. Will help your sale HEAPS!!!

How much to ship a car from Tas to WA anyone?
