    SAFC or unichip

custom tuned to your car, by far the best way to go, safe and reliable, costs a fair bit more than a resistor though!

    Mia...

Please do yourself a favour and contact 90TTZ (Karl). He has mastered the art of tuning a standard ECU and can give you a SAFE performance chip.

The main concern is anyone can tune a chip with advanced timing to get greater power, but you can basically do the same yourself by advancing your base idle timing to give similar results. All it does is advance timing throughout the rev range. So please stay away from this.

Send 90TTZ a pm with your thoughts and he may be able to help you regarding an advanced chip. He has done mine and many others and he will only do a chip that will be safe for your car.

    I would argue differently....

when I was running a Hitec chip, my rwkw was higher than anyone elses at the dyno at that time (about 3 years ago now, around 138rwkw). And with my UniChip, my last dyno figure increased from approx 130rwkw to 155rwkw. So although the gains are no where as big as on a TT (because the TT guys can cheat by adding more boost), a well tuned ECU on an NA is still worth it if you're chasing performance from your NA.

    Cheers

it would not be professional to say who said this to me on the public forum, however that person knows all about ecu chips and he may enter the thread and add more to his remarks ;)

Mia consider a performance chip like those pair of stillettos youve always wanted to add to your collection. search well and spend big
