Last night I swapped my drivers licence for a licence to drink. For 3months anyway. I was pulled over because I "Took a wide corner back there", not due to the alcohol but the shit song i was trying to change while turning the corner. Damn you Jack white!!

Good time to do that 100k service me thinks.

Seriously it's time we followed US law a little bit (god did I say that???). Getting a drivers licence and the right to legally drink at the same time is asking for trouble.

being a plater + being underage i couldnt even have a 0.008 and get away with it... so thats why i got busted, although i was fine. but through this experience ive learnt something and i hope Wazza did too.

I hope you've learnt your lesson....

I will never touch grog if I'm gonna drive, don't wanna hurt my baby

My lesson leart is to always warm your tyres up before going around corners a *bit* quickly :(

deffinately learn my lesson, scared the shit out of me, plus the imbarresment of getting a lift home with the police and explaining things to my parents, i havnt shared this because i KNEW id get flamed, but theres nothing i can do now, except the consequences and make sure it never happens again, more responsible and think.

Yeah, ringing your parents to say thay you've been arrested/crashed/being chased by the mob etc. is never good

Ah, well if your sensible you'll stay off the booze, it's horribly expensive anyway. You can spend more money on the Z this way :zlove: :D

Man, you are lucky. I thought drinking under 18, then going for a drive would have been a lot longer suspension period.
Well, I know I wont be driving the car unless I am absolutely certain that I am Sober. About to go find a bike so I can get to work

Hope I can remember how to ride a bike

Too bad you're not over here in WA. P-platers are allowed 0.02. IMO, that's the way it should be. 0% is really not intelligent. I mean, you have a desert cooked in brandy or whatever you can get a tiny reading (this has been proven). Therefore you can't drive? What bullshit.

Another fellow p plater without a zed for three months, lol. I got caught by a speed camera 14km over in a public holiday. Waiting for my second notice then off she goes into storage.
Actually not storage, more like a work in progress. Lots of things have built up in the garage waiting to be installed and lots of things to cross off the list

As said in his first post, he is under 18, so he legally cant drink anyway.

Methinks that you have been indulging in some of the grog as well :D

i had 0.077 , charged me with excess 0.05% although the law is 0.02, they can do me for under 0.02 if they want, im 17, so underage drinking + driving...=:( ... they pulled me over for speeding... i know it was dumb, was trying to get the car out of a beach carpark to my mates house up the road, but nope, had some bad luck, just coppin it... and they fined me $100 + 3 months (plus the $250 speeding ticket:S), i think they let me off WAY to easy.

Yes, you got off REALLY lightly. In Vic you would have been walking for a number of years. The important thing is that you learn from your mistakes.

He meant 0.08 lol. I thought you can legally drink under 18. You can't legally buy? I thought I read somewhere that your guardians can allow you to drink above 15? Like wine with a meal that sort of thing? Though it could be me just drinking to much as a kid assuming this :p
