Aah mikey sorry to hear. I went to bed thinking that maybe you had a bit of a fender bender, but this is far worse. Go & see Joe when he gets back from holidays - he'll get you sorted (my car hasn't run better for many years).
Jedi thought there was something wrong earlier but that turned out to be a false alarm (we presumed you ducked back to take photos of the girls taking photos of the koalas).

Looks like Pete's tech day has become "Get RZM back running" day...

Doug, I almost had to get out out of the car and put a towel on the seat, i was crapping my dacks about the P plating thing.
Stupid things going through my head like
"mention it now so i don't have to argue that i'm off my P's!"
"stay silent so you don't act like a smart arse!"
"ZED + Driver not showing p's+ smartarse/Liar = go and get the ticket pad"

    That was really embarrassing...
As i said, and for the rest of the forum's intrigue, i didn't do any thing stupid to loose my license in the Zed in the first place. It was in my KE30 (1976) Corolla- 1200cc two speed auto. (feel the power.)
130kmh in a 70kmh zone. ps, it was going down hill, and i had extra weight in the car.

Flash, you aren't allowed to sell your car anytime soon. (more than 6 months if you wouldn't mind) as i wouldn't have the cash for a year.

    I didnt mind it benny....

I'm not a racer, and although I like twisties, I felt that I had enough fun on sunday. I would not have felt comfortable pushing the zed any harder on some corners, and Judith was already clutching the door rail..:) Maybe because I was upfront, I was in a good part of the traffic. Who knows. But the group of zeds I was with all managed to enjoy the corners quite nicely.

    Cheers

hehe yeh, that Truck was flying alright. I was behind him the whole way until he turned off at Lorne. Didn't slow us down at all. Then I finally got to see some Zed ass in the form of Jedi77s car. Thats a great sounding car to be behind mate. Sounded sweet. Although all you guys up the front were holding me back :p :zlove:

Given that Col is planning another GOR cruise this year, I think i'm going to have a long 'discussion' with my wife about holding onto her for while longer. ;) I really enjoyed the twisitie bits between Lorne & Apollo Bay :D

I didn't realise there was a twist forest road back to Melbourne, otherwise I would have followed you guys, but turning around and heading back down the Great Ocean Road towards Melbourne wasn;t the worst thing. I saw that Yellow GTR going the other way and had to stop at one point to let an echidna cross the road lol

Yeah the smoke doesnt look good. I had smoke like that come out of my car when I did a motorkhana. Thankfully it was just the PCV's venting oil into the combustion system so no biggie. But I got so scared when all the other guys were saying head gasket, valve stem seals, piston rings. Hopefully its not too expensive and the car gets back on the road, where it belongs.

ey if we go on another GOR i reakon we take the alternative route guys...wen i parted from you guys at lorne i decided i would take that route...seriously is was alot more twisty than from lorne to geelong...and then the straights OMG!!!!....this one straight no joke you can easily hit speed limiter:p...wen goin through the alternative route my dad actually strtd freakin out...like goin to apollo bay was more relxing from him:D...that was real fun...but i really cant get over the long straights at the bottom of the mountine...i was like DAMN!!! look at that...and after that cruisin speed was pretty high like 140's..which was good, got to geelong quicky:D

    LOL, so true

I was just driving home heading east, and saw an awesome sunset in the rear view. And I thought to myself I really gotta find a good location to shoot the Zed with the sunset in the background. Then the traffic in front of me slows down, and its because some1 has pulled over to the side of the road, and had a camera and was looking towards the sunset!

How was every1's highway economy. From Todd Rd til just now i had done 536.6K's and the needle was hovering at the start of the E line. Filled up and only got 55.48L WTF?!! that's 10.5L/100Km's which is good. But I was expecting maybe 65L's I really gotta get that low fuel Indicator light replaced, That light wouldn't have even come on. How far is the needle before it typically comes on. Supposedly it comes on at 15L's so after using 57L out of a 72L tank it will come on.
