A just had a run in with a guy who owns a RED XR6 UTE BA REGO EU3774!!! He threatened to dobb me into transport about my mods performed to my Zed I havent registered any mods and apparently you do! SO I COULD be up for MASSIVE FINES and DEFECTS!!! My plea to Tassie Zedders is this!...If you ever see the driver of this ute who calls our pride and joy a JAP PIECE OF SHIT! give him a lecture or be a bitch to him on the roads! Let him know that we all are against this uncivilized behaviour! Let him know us zedders are out in force! AS HE IS waiting for any Zedder to come aross his way to write your rego down!!! Tell me who we're suppose to register to? (never heard anything about 'registering modifications') I tell my insurqnce about everything that is on my car, if it was illegal they would tell me. I think this fella is full of shit. How many modified cars are on the road, a set of mags is a modification, i doubt anyone knows anything about it. I wouldnt stress to much... Seriously who's going to listen to a 60 yr old fella walking into somewhere to 'dob' on someone and their modification? \ Just my thoughts
I can't find anything about needing to register mods, only for change of engines\transmission and other major things like that. You'd think it would be common knowledge if it was required and much easier to find on the gov websites, AFAIK the only people you need to let know is your insurance company and I imagine if you let them know of something like an N/A to Turbo mod and it had to be registered with someone else they would ask because they would probably void you insurance on the spot if it wasn't.
