A quick question about the max kph you can get with the stock rev cut out at 6900-7000rpm in each gear. The only gear I've maxed out is third with rev limiter kicking in, thats quick if you've done it you'll know. I don't wanna break the law so maybe those of you who have taken your zed to the track can tell me what you can get in 4th & 5th without the speed limiter. Cheers
my max speed in 4th is 195 km/h but that is with the Richmond diff gear. with the stock diff I am guessing maybe 220??
With Powerdyn, it give you that: At 7000RPM: 1st: 69 km/h 2nd: 115 km/h 3rd: 171 km/h 4th: 223 km/h 5th: 297 Km/h Hope this help
Not too sure At Eastern Creek (long straight) my car goes off the speedo (180) before the start finish line then upchange into fifth so I guess about 200 but my car is setup for shifts at around 6600 rpm due to tune and dont rev much past that as power drops off (dyno proven) I am confident that a long road with some nos (or 400 odd KW) and the zed would hit 300 + at around 7000 rpm in fifth.
Cheers for the input Quickest I've taken it in 2nt was about 95 or so before changing, and I got the same as written above in third at rev limit. It gets there faster if I change into 4th earlier though(obviously) I've found. Mine is still speed limited so never been past 190. Anyway thats all helpfull thanks again
3rd I take mine down the quater and I get to 160 in 3rd but that's it. I have just hit the rev cut when i cross the line at that.
i just took mine for a run after resealing the iacv valve to the plenum and removing the crappy old style apexi afm, runs really smooth now, anyway i got to nearly 180kph in 3rd before the speed limiter cut in 6800rpm and roaring, man it sounded sweet, till it cut out, that was a pisser, i think an aftermarket ecu is on the cards, apparently they disable the speed limiter
Disabling the speed limiter is incredibly easy. ZRATED now has a chip burner and some chips and if you had your ecu socketed, he could write a chip in less than a minute to eliminate the speed limiter.
thanks Zductive, i might get in touch with him and see if it is a possibility to do it next weekend when i am up in Perth
Its funny that i work at a servo and heaps of older people admit to driving like really fast or doing something stupid in their life.....i take it that some times people get the urge to go fast and cant get to the track.....thats not an excuse btw but yeah might be a reason for this......i mean im sure many people would go to the autobahns (high speed freeway) rather than a suburban street to test their car capabilites.....too bad our gov hits us with so much tax, yet its getting spend in all the wrong places....including overseas with america and tax looters that claim benifits or doll bludges etc.....hell i says cancell all the benifits, lower the tax except for the rich rich plpz and just keep maybe pension provided that super has not been seen to be wasted.....(ahum yes i lil off topic there )
Most definately Track whore here for sure. Quickest I have been in my zed on the freeway is about 130 in a 110 zone. Any quicker than that and you are asking for trouble IMHO. The zeds are a target so best not to give the boys in blue any more ammo. J
The government makes me buy Z rated tyres, so don't I have the right to use them? I've seen 253 km on my GPS before I ran out of track.
diff? So does that mean that when I'm hitting 160max in 3rd I may have lower difgears? or possibly gearbox?
